Valchromat is developed and manufactured by Investwood, a Portuguese producer specialising in engineered wood panels for architectural and design applications. With a focus on material innovation and performance, Investwood has positioned Valchromat as a differentiated alternative to conventional MDF through its coloured fibre technology and enhanced physical properties.

The manufacturing process involves individually impregnating wood fibres with organic dyes before bonding them with a specialised resin system. This results in a dense, cohesive panel with consistent colour throughout its full thickness, as well as improved mechanical performance compared to standard MDF. Valchromat is specified globally across commercial interiors, retail environments and public spaces where durability, machinability and material consistency are required.
